Experience/Education Required:
- Must have Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Civil or Mechanical Engineering and 10 years of experience as a Technical Specialist or in a related technical position.
- Will also accept a Master's degree in Aerospace, Civil or Mechanical Engineering plus 8 years of experience as a Technical Specialist or in a related technical position.
- Must have experience performing stress and fatigue and damage tolerance analysis of principle structural elements on aircraft structures.
The individual filling this position will perform fatigue and damage tolerance analysis of principle structural elements on aircraft structures; analysis to include fatigue, crack growth and residual strength checks; perform detailed stress analysis in support of the damage tolerance analysis; analysis to be performed using classical hand analysis, finite element methods and other engineering codes; recommend innovations and improvements relating to quality, economy, and effectiveness of jet-powered aircraft.
