Supply Chain Coordinator I in Savannah, GA
Unique Skills Required:
Clear, concise communicator Effective in team settings Ability to influence / motivate supplier performance Excel CAS system working experience Knowledge of Completion purchasing, planning and scheduling processes.

Experience/Education Required:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.Two (2) years of purchasing, production control, operations or related experience.
- Masters degree in Business Administration may offset the two (2) years experience requirement.

Position Purpose:
Responsibility, authority, and accountability to direct the delivery performance segment of the supply chain. Monitors trends in supply chain delivery performance; monitors recovery plans as required with the supply chain in support of corporate schedule; performs cross functional activities to prevent future shortages of purchased parts. Identifies root cause and disconnects; develops resolutions and eliminates barriers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
1) Review with supplier and validates that the purchase order supports the corporate schedule

2) Track performance to schedule

3) Facilitate conference calls to suppliers and off-site facilities to ensure on time deliveries and performance to schedule

4) Work with Material Analysts, Purchasing, Operations, Engineering, and Tooling and off-site facilities to ensure parts, plans, and tools are available to accomplish schedule requirements

5) Identify corrective actions and possible work arounds when off-site facility cannot provide parts in support of schedule requirements

6) Resolve problems, initiates corrective actions and monitors progress to ensure successful prevention of recurring problems

7) Contribute towards successful achievement of organizational goals and objectives

8) Monitor unplanned issues of parts to spares for AOGs to ensure no work stoppage

9) Develop and implements tools that project and prevent future shortages

10) Travel to suppliers and off-site General Dynamics locations as required

Additional Functions:
1) Summarize daily delivery status to Supply Chain Surveillance Manager, Purchasing Manager, Supervisors and Buyers

2) Coordinate shipment of incomplete parts and assemblies from suppliers with Inspection, Operations, Receiving and other departments as required; prioritize shipping when required

3) Perform other duties as assigned

Other Requirements:
1) A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates for this position including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer.
