Position Purpose: The Corporate Merchandiser is responsible for providing branded promotional merchandise contributing to employee engagement, organizational initiatives and product sales. Position will manage all aspects of the internal supply chain of promotional marketing merchandise. Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions: 1) Manage internal company promotional website to include monitoring sales volume, inspecting inventory levels, promoting and budgeting of a balanced selection of merchandise based on customer requirements.
2) Identify current trends and seasonal changes in order to predict future demands and maintain a reasonable inventory level. Responsible for gathering information and gaining knowledge through continual product research, attending trade shows, seminars, supplier meetings and maintaining open lines of internal communication.
3) Provide monthly marketing updates to internal customers by executing special promotional campaigns; introduce these campaigns through departmental meetings, email newsletters and other diverse methods of communication to generate awareness, enthusiasm and education of brand assets.
4) Liaison to five company store locations to include contract negotiations, facility maintenance, brand management and overall internal and external customer service.
5) Oversee external fulfillment warehouse vendor by conducting annual inventory audits, monitoring customer satisfaction and continually reviewing possibilities for cost reduction.
6) Proactively evaluate domestic and international suppliers to establish and maintain effective positive working relationships to ensure the highest quality of goods and services are provided at the best negotiated cost.
7) Prepare proposals to include price quotes, merchandise images and product descriptions as generally requested by internal customers and Event Marketing.
8) Monitor costs to assure budgets are maintained; process invoices; compile budget recaps and make budget recommendations to Event Marketing and internal customer base.
9) Collaborate with Marketing Services to fulfill opportunities supporting employee engagement and corporate Continuous Improvement Objectives.
