Product Support Maintenance Program Mgr in Savannah, GA Unique Skills Required: See Experience/Education Requirements.
Experience/Education Required: - Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. - Must be computer literate.Five (5) years current experience in direct contact customer service activity. - Ten (10) years related experience in Gulfstream aircraft manufacturing, outfitting and/or service. - Four (4) years of progressively responsible management/supervisory exp.
Position Purpose: Under the contract terms associated with Product Support programs and general guidance of senior management, continually analyze forecasts for all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions for Gulfstream aircraft in fleet operations. Provide direction and decision making in resolving unanticipated maintenance events. Create material and labor support rapid-response plans for operational and unscheduled maintenance events worldwide. Manage all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events at home-base and other facilities. Manage the scheduling and accomplishment of modifications, manufacturer bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and other directed maintenance events while sustaining customer aircraft availability levels.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions: 1) Management of the maintenance program including, but not limited to, managing through an internal team and with the customer all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance within Gulfstream facilities and/or a third-party facility.
2) Contract and arrange for third party maintenance providers to perform maintenance.
3) In conjunction with senior management, develop maintenance forecast and review annual schedules for fleet aircraft.
4) Supervise the 24/7 maintenance dispatch operations and expeditor team who direct the maintenance and parts allocation.
5) Manage program budget to minimize cost for the program and customer.
6) Identify external and internal factors that may negatively affect Program cost or efficiency of operations and provide plan of action for minimizing/deterring impact.
7) Create and revise business plan, operational support plans, and long-term projections in conjunction with vendors and third-party support organizations to maintain high product reliability.
8) Develop and negotiate flat-rate charge plan with third-party vendors.
9) Review all program job charges for accuracy and cost effectiveness.
10) Prepare and review customer fleet availability.
11) Work with internal and external departments to develop, prepare and update existing maintenance processes and procedures.
12) Determine priorities for handling situations submitted to the program for action.
Additional Functions: 1) Review and approve for payment invoices from all third party maintenance facilities.
2) Overtime as required by volume of workload.
3) Perform other duties as assigned.
