Position Purpose:
The Sales Business Manager will be responsible for directing the Quotation Administration activities of assigned Product Lines. The individual must aggressively develop and implement strategies to increase and support sales growth and provide excellent customer support to meet customers expectations. The individual must recommend the most advantageous allocation of resources to effectively cover the needs of the facility and customers requirements. The individual will serve as a direct counsel to the Director of Sales and Business Administration in sales and support decisions and actively participate in facility sales forecasting and budgeting process. This position is responsible for the internal and external coordination of customer communications for the facility to include Quotations and Sales Administration correspondence. The position is the primary support and contacts interface with the corporate office, internal and external customers.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
1) Direct internal and external sales efforts of Quotations, and internal and external Marketing Service Sales Administration, and any other primary support so designated.
2) Formulate and monitor performance against sales forecasts and operations budgets.
3) Monitor and report business opportunities as well as competitive sales activities in the region.
4) Propose marketing and sales strategies and programs to maximize sales and profit opportunity in the region and company.
5) Coordinate travel and contact schedules of the group. Act as communication hub for sales and competitive communications for the regional facility and the other locations.
6) Develop specific sales forecasts for the region using all available analytical tools and knowledge.
7) Direct administration and support efforts of the Quotations and Sales Administration groups, and any other employee designated to be in the support department.
8) Evaluate performance of individual support employees against individual and company objectives. Recommend appropriate personnel actions, training, and development.
9) Assure that designated key contact employees are coordinating and communicating to the customer for all product lines (customer transaction manager).
10) Assures that all efforts are made to meet customer satisfaction requirements in verbal and written communications and overall coordination of information.
Additional Functions:
1) Responsible for ensuring the SalesLogix quotation database is accurate and complete, and offer suggestions to enhance the system along with coordination of customer quotes. Analyzes pricing and competitive information to keep company strategies effective and current.
2) Participate in facility and company sales forecasting and budgeting process.
3) Responsible, along with RSMs, for all customer contract negotiation, auditing, maintenance sales margins as well as third party engine vendor partnership agreements.
Other Requirements:
1) Strong aviation experience and knowledge essential.
2) Customer satisfaction aptitude and record of successful customer interaction required.
3) Experience in aviation maintenance organization a plus.
