Position Purpose: Assist with the revision process to the overall business continuity plan (BCP). Assist with the development, and implementation of the BCP exercise plan. Business continuity planning includes risk management, business impact analysis, strategy development, plan development, testing and maintenance to enable Gulfstream to respond to a business interruption. This position will be responsible for assisting with the management of the program for the Savannah/Brunswick locations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions: 1) Assist with the oversight of the revision process for the Business Impact Analysis in each business units. Help to determine critical processes, recovery time and recovery point objectives, and resource requirements for a successful recovery in the event of a business disruption.
2) Provide assistance in the coordination with business units to develop and revise the business recovery procedures ensuring that plans satisfy business, legal and regulatory requirements.
3) Support the development of a Crisis Management training program.
4) Develop and assist with the implementation of the table-top exercises for validating the business continuity plans.
5) Provide assistance with the development of the employee business continuity awareness training materials.
6) Assist with project leadership between information technology, EHS, Security and business leaders to provide a well executed and integrated Business Continuity program.
7) Participate in Crisis Management Team exercises.
8) Coordinate and assist with the Savannah and Brunswick facilities Emergency Response Plan and Crisis Management Teams.
9) Streamline the collection and maintenance of the Business Impact Analysis data. Assist in the analysis of the data to help identify financial and non-financial impacts of an outage for individual functional areas.
10) Provide coordination assistance with the technology requirements within IT disaster recovery team.
11) Provide status on current business continuity trends.
12) Identify and recommend opportunities to improve the business continuity strategy and organization with increase in facilities.
13) Assist with the revision of the Health Crisis Plan to business continuity plan. 1
4) Assist in the creation of presentations on business continuity plan information and status to senior management. 1
5) Provide expertise and support to various management and functional business units in the event of a business disruption. 1
6) Develop and assist with a new records management process for the business continuity plan, additions and changes, using existing central data system-Livelink. 1
7) Occasionally perform local travel to develop and maintain the business continuity program within the Savannah/Brunswick area.
Unique Skills Required: A qualified candidate must be currently pursuing a BA/BS degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
Experience/Education Required: - 1. - Pursuing a BA/BS degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. - 2. - Professional certification in Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery preferred. - 3. - Familiar with Business Continuity concepts 4. - Familiar with Data Protection requirements 5. - Microsoft Office applications experience and skills (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project) and Lotus Notes. - Experience Requirements: 1. - Minimum 1 year in Homeland Security and/or Emergency Management or business continuity development, planning and maintenance. - 2. - Experience in disaster recovery planning preferred. - 3. - Highly motivated individual. - 4. - Demonstrated leadership ability and strong communicaiton skills. - 5. - Experience with project planning software applications such as Microsoft Project, or other software which produces timelines, Gantt charts, etc. - 6. - Organizational and administrative skills follow through and attention to detail. - 7. - Must have good project management skills 8. - Good analytical and organization skills 9. - Knowledge of and the ability to assist in the coordination of cross functional teams and work with direct supervision. - 10. - Ability to interface and coordinate work effectively with all management areas in Gulfstream. -
