Position Purpose:
Under direct supervision, assists in monitoring and controlling plotter equipment in accordance with established procedures; is proficient enough in those areas of operations in order to provide the necessary backup required to meet schedule demands; notifies the higher levels of classifications of problems for corrective action.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
1) Becomes reasonably proficient in those areas required by the position namely: plotter operations and maintenance; command console operations, commands and replies; Emergency Procedures and Problem Reporting Procedures
2) Monitor and perform all duties requiring operator interaction with peripheral equipment.
3) Ensure that all plots are delivered according to schedule and established procedure.
4) Assists the Supervisor in whatever related duties are required to complete scheduled work.
Additional Functions:
1) Assists in the creation of Gerber plotter tapes for plotting mylar drawings.
2) Clean and perform routine maintenance on computer equipment; ensure that work areas are kept neat and clean.
3) Performs other duties as required.A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates for this position including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer

Experience/Education Required:
- Operating Skills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesTraining & Education Requirements:High school graduate, GED or equivalent.Ability to operate and perform routine maintenance on plotter equipment, and high speed Gerber Systems.Experience Requirements:One (1) year of experience and knowledge in plotting center operations and experience in interactive terminal operations and control.One (1) year of experience and knowledge of Gerber Systems.Good customer relation skills.
