Position Purpose: Under General Direction of Director of Advanced Procurement, perform and manage activities related to administration and negotiation of supplier contracts where Gulfstream is the customer. Negotiate contract requirements and complete documentation in a manner consistent with Gulfstream policies, requirements, and objectives, as well as departmental goals.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions: 1) Reviews, drafts terms and conditions, and modifies complex multi-million dollar supplier contracts to comply with company procurement guidelines.
2) Understands each section of the contract and how it interrelates into the total business deal to meet Gulfstream requirements that include, but are not limited to, financial, legal, and commercial requirements.
3) Initiates and manages the preparation of documentation necessary to negotiate and complete Gulfstream Procurement contracts.
4) As a member of a cross functional team that includes Procurement, Legal, Program Management, Engineering and other technical disciplines in leading Gulfstream negotiations of contractual commitments that interface with similar disciplines from Supplier companies.
5) Ensures that contract technical, financial, legal and commercial risks are evaluated, assessed, and approved with the appropriate internal and external staff as required to meet Gulfstream objectives.
6) Provides Post Award analysis and briefing to Senior Management (Director Level) regarding contractual obligations, including signature approval memos and matrix.
Additional Functions: 1) Accountable for maintaining accurate records, providing current status and other reports as required
2) Ability to organize and maintain correspondence with a strong attention to detail
3) Formally document and provide completed contracts on file for reference.
4) Performs other duties as assigned
Other Requirements: 1) Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) highly desirable
2) Certified Project Manager (CPM) highly desirable
3) Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) highly desirable
4) Experience in Aerospace industry is desirable
Unique Skills Required: Aerospace Contracts Experience is desired. Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering Background desired.
Experience/Education Required: - Bachelors degree in Business or related curriculum. - Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. - Must be able to organize and prioritize workload.Six (6) years of contract negotiation and administration; or Masters degree and four (4) years of relevant experience. - See Other Requirements in Job Description.
