Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or in a related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Six (6) years experience in communications to include experience managing professional level employees or program management.

Position Purpose:
This role is responsible for planning, managing and executing external communications strategies, programs and tactics designed to promote and protect the reputation of Gulfstream and support the company's strategic business priorities through communications. The senior manager will work closely with the director of communications and other members of Gulfstream's worldwide communications team.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions: 1. With the director, create and execute a worldwide communications strategy that helps achieve the company’s strategic business priorities, according to corporate and business unit guidelines and budgets 2. Stay abreast of and evaluate changes in social media delivery platforms to determine the appropriate venues for the company’s strategic messages. Respond adroitly to new developments by providing the appropriate messages through new and existing social media channels. 3. Measure the impact and value of communications activities and provide regular updates to Communications and Marketing leadership. 4. Manage and coordinate media requests and interviews, providing the media with timely and accurate information. 5. Serve as company spokesperson and Gulfstream representative at industry events, including airshows. 6. Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy for Gulfstream to promote and defend the brand, build customer loyalty and addresses acquisition, retention and contribution. 7. Oversees the approval process for supplier/vendor materials that reference Gulfstream Aerospace, including news releases, employee messages, marketing materials, etc. 8. Forge and maintain strong relationships with local, national, international, trade, business, lifestyle and design media 9. Provide the media with timely and accurate information 10. Develop brand messaging and collaborate with other teams to ensure consistency of corporate messaging both internally and externally 11. Stay abreast of internal/external research/insights 12. Identify proactive opportunities for executive speeches, media releases and interviews with key personnel in fulfillment of the company’s strategic business priorities. 13. As necessary, source and manage appropriate third-party vendors and agencies to support communications objectives. 14. Assist in the review and approval of all materials to be presented externally, including abstracts, presentations, talking points, speeches, etc. 15. Manage and coordinate special media events. 16. In collaboration with the director of Communications and Gulfstream’s Leadership Team, drive message development to support the company’s strategic business priorities Perform other duties as assigned.
