Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job preferred. Advanced degree preferred. 5 years in Trade Compliance. 3 years Project Management or related experience.

Position Purpose:
Under minimal direction, develop, implement and manage Trade Compliance projects within the scope of assigned responsibility and provide subject matter expertise concerning application of trade compliance laws and regulations, corporate policies and procedures.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions: 1. Lead assigned projects within scope, cost and schedule using available project management tools and systems. 2. Support Trade Compliance initiatives through providing comprehensive project management, issue resolution and solution development. 3. Provide interpretation, application and risk analysis of trade compliance laws and regulations. 4. Provide guidance, oversight and training to the Project Management team in the successful application and use of Lean Six Sigma tools in the analysis of existing trade compliance processes and the identification of improvement opportunities in both manual and automated systems. 5. Proactively guide changes to corporate processes to ensure compliance with trade laws and regulations, and lead implementation of trade compliance initiatives into corporate process and culture 6. Develop classification solutions for hardware, software, and technology, and lead solution implementation. 7. Actively resolve areas of complex compliance risk. 8. Conduct export/import compliance training, and lead development of new training materials and programs. 9. Provide Project leadership for factual investigations concerning trade compliance matters. 10. Supervises the activities of a team of subordinate employees, contributes to performance reviews, coordinates activities for assigned personnel, establishes and communicates clear performance expectations.

Additional Functions: 1. Additional functions will be dictated by the specific responsibilities of the position. Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements: 1. Project Management certification preferred.
2. Brokers license, or other export/import certification preferred.
3. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a multi-disciplined matrix team. 4. Ability to expertly navigate and train others to operate within Gulfstream enterprise systems, web-based applications and 3rd party productivity software, including, but not limited to: SAP, GTS, CAS, Corridor, Oracle, Sales Logix, Livelink, P-DocM, Cognos, SmarTeam, Visual Compliance, CMP.Net , Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Projects, IPC, Adobe suite. 5. Exceptional understanding of all relevant US Trade regulations such as Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR), North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and Customs regulations. 6. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
7. Applicant must be a US Citizen, or Green Card holder. 8. Applicant must demonstrate excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.
