Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Intern students at Gulfstream Aerospace are considered to be an integral part of the Advanced Flight Deck (AFD) staff, and as such, are provided with tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating. Under guidance of the AFD staff, the students will be assigned to complete various projects in conjunction with AFD Project Managers and Preliminary Design.
Research technologies offered by competitors to establish baselines in aerospace and benchmark other industries, including automotive and consumer technology
Work with Advanced Flight Deck Project Managers to mature flight deck concepts with regards to their technology, integration and manufacturing readiness levels
Work with Advanced Flight Deck Engineers to create technology demonstrations
Work with Flight Operations (Pilots) to evaluate technology concepts and demonstrations
Work with Engineering to develop Technical Requirements Documents (TRD) for new aircraft technologies
Assist in aircraft functional modeling and integration, imploring Model Based Development (MBD) methods
Assist in tracking and communicating Action Items for cross-functional teams

Education and Experience Requirements:
Currently pursuing a bachelor or masters degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
Cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher at the time of application and it must be listed on the submitted resume.
Candidate should have excellent basic engineering, scientific and mathematical skills
Experience with MATLAB Simulink is not required, but advantageous
Experience with flight simulation software (ie. X-Plane or Prepar3D) not required, but advantageous
Demonstrated interest in flight deck and avionics technologies
Proven record of high achievement and team work
Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills
