Description:
Under minimal supervision, prepares aircraft documentation with inspection team input.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
1) Prepares and schedules aircraft documentation with the Inspection team. Reviews all documents and work orders prior to approval for return to service of the aircraft. Ensures aircraft are approved for return to service in accordance with current FAR's and company policy.
2) Develops and implements documents for QC utilization. Maintains documents and travelers for the Quality Control department.
3) Coordinates new STC's, Aircraft Flight Manual Supplements and FAA Form 337 field approval of avionics and mechanical installations with Engineering Certification group and the FAA.
4) Assists with the activity of Special Flight Permits, Standard Airworthiness certificates, Export certificates, etc.
5) Coordinates retention of QC documents and filing system for compliance with regulatory requirements.
6) Focal point for the Inspection team. Provide technical data for CMP, Engineering, Technical Services, Avionics and other Service Center oriented departments.
7) Focal point of customer questions pertaining to compliance, research, and documentation during and after customer visits.
8) Assists customers with all activities relating to previous and present maintenance performed on aircraft.
Additional Functions:
1) Researches for compliance's from past history and problem solve shortages on documentation.
2) Perform other duties as required.Operating Skills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesMinimum Training & Education Requirements:* Bachelor's Degree in related curriculum, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. * Proficient in the utilization of Federal Aviation Regulations, Advisory Circulars, and FAA forms and documents.* Thorough knowledge of aircraft logbooks and maintenance entries to include proper aircraft work order documentation. * Must possess strong analytical ability and good personal computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, database and mainframe interface.* Requires accuracy and attention to detail.* A & P license required
Unique Skills Required:
The ability to maintain focus on accuracy and regulatory compliance while handling multiple jobs at the same time is a key requirement for success in the QC Analyst position.
Experience/Education Required:
- Minimum Experience Requirements:* Prefer Repair Station QC experience.* Minimum 5 years aviation experience
