Position Purpose:
Assists with the movement of aircraft on, to and from the ramp and within the hangars, in support of customers, Service Center Maintenance and Final Phase. Support hangar operations by providing support of customer and visiting aircraft as required.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
1) Meets arriving aircraft, and directs them to a parking location. Greets the customer and assists in locating appropriate company personnel for customer contact.
2) With moderate supervision performs duties related to the marshaling, fueling, defueling of aircraft and fuel trucks.
3) Assist with the movement of aircraft on, to, and from the ramp and within the hangars.
4) Assist in the inspection and maintenance of the fuel farm and fuel trucks according to established guidelines.
5) Assist in the inspection and maintenance of ground support equipment.
Additional Functions:
1) Assist with hazardous waste disposal by delivering all hazmat generated to the waste treatment area.
2) Comply with the cleaning and maintaining of 5S for the ramp areas.
3) Comply with all safety rules and procedures.
Unique Skills Required:
Must have proven safety records around Corporate Jets, and have demonstrated the ability of putting prevention measures in place to prevent aircraft damage . Must also be familiar with most ground support equipment to support Gulfstream aircraft. ( ie power carts, lavatory service carts, oxygen service carts , nitrogen carts )
Experience/Education Required:
- HS/GED.
- A valid drivers license, acceptable driving record, ability to work in extremes of hot/cold/wet weather.
- Aptitude for safety and effectively operating tow tugs, forklifts, fuel trucks and similar vehicles in a high traffic a/c ramp atmosphere.Experience or familiarity with aircraft ground movement and signaling procedures is helpful.
